She graduated from Texas A&M with a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Cognition & Creativity. She is also certified to teach children grades EC-6. Her passion for working with differently-abled individuals is inspired by her brother who has neurological differences. Kirsten has worked with children, teens, and adults with special needs in and outside the classroom as a camp counselor, caregiver, para educator, and teacher. One of her favorite experiences was living and working at an orphanage in Costa Rica during college. She has also enjoyed working with the organization Roots & Shoots to teach children and teens with special needs about the environment and guide them in becoming community leaders.
Kirsten is thrilled to be joining the Monarch team and is excited to empower her students to be the best they can be. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her fiancé, singing in church, doing hot yoga, dancing, and listening to live music.
