Cathy Sussman

Secondary Program Director

Cathy earned her B.S. degree with a double major in elementary and special education, from Northern Illinois University. She earned her master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston. She has 44 years’ experience in teaching and leadership. 

After 39 years in the public school system, Cathy retired and joined a private school in Houston. When a position became available at Monarch, Cathy quickly applied and was thrilled to be offered an opportunity to join the Monarch team. 

Cathy is certified in special education PK-12, Elementary Education PK-8, English as a Second Language, Emotional Disabilities, and Autism. 

Cathy is excited to be part of the Monarch School and Institute team and looks forward to working with the learners and their families. She believes every child can reach their full potential when given the proper tools to succeed.
