Alvin McNair

Alvin McNair Jr. was born and raised in Tampa Florida.  He is a first-generation college graduate, graduating from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville Texas, and from the Oakland School of Law, Oakland California.

Alvin McNair Jr. taught one year in the Houston Apollo program before spending the last ten years teaching a multitude of math subjects to the diverse student body of a large public school system. His approach and commitment to education can be best encapsulated by the philosophy "give a man a fish, feed him for the day, teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime."

Alvin McNair Jr. is grateful and blessed to be joining the personable and family like staff of the butterfly program within The Monarch School and Institute.  Where he is ready, willing, and capable of supporting the shared mission of promoting and elevating the " 4 core Goals: Self-Regulation and Awareness, Executive Functions, Relationship Development, and Academic-Professional Competence, " among our student clientele.
