Latanya McClendon

Latanya McClendon was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. She moved to Houston, TX in 2009. She graduated from Ashford University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her work background is in Human Resource Administration, and she’s worked with individuals with disabilities and elderly residents for 10 years. She also owned a home daycare for five years before she began working in the school system. Her career in special education began in 2010, when she worked with children with autism and intellectual disabilities. She then transferred to the public school system, where she worked for seven years in multiple special education programs.

Latanya has been married for 15 years to her husband, Samuel, who is a second grade teacher. They have two daughters together, Arjai and Sanai, and they also have pet dog named Sugar! In her spare time, Latanya enjoys cheering for her NEW ORLEANS SAINTS, and she is a life supporter of the DALLAS COWBOYS. She also enjoys shopping and spending time with her family and friends. She is very compassionate, fun loving, and an outgoing Southern lady. Latanya is very excited to be a part of our team of dedicated individuals who also have a passion for individuals with special needs.
